ELECTROMETRIC RESEARCH METHODS OF SURFACE PHYSICS OF METALS, SEMICONDUCTORS AND DIELECTRICS, DEVELOPED BY ACADEMICIAN G. NADJAKOV AND ASSOCIATES

       A brief survey has been made of the classical electrometric methods, developed by academician G. Nadjakov and there advantages in measuring of many light currents, little tensions and electric charges. Asymmetric quadrant electrometer in air and later in high vacuum medium, has mainly bean used for measurement of work function and its variation in case of metal surfaces.

       A rotation electrometer (with electronic amplifier), in which a biscuit is turn by a rotating magnetic field, has also been developed on the basis of the classical quadrant electrometer constructed by acad.G.Nadjakov and associates.

       The development of electrometric methods mentioned above has also provided a possibility for a considerably more effective research of photoelectrical state in solid dielectrics such as: sulfur, anthracene, ets without the second (upper) electrode contacting the surface of the photopolarizing material.
