       Academician Milko Borissov is one of the most fruitful Bulgarian physicists during the second half of XX century. He created a few hundred scientific papers in about 60 years.

       Milko Borissov was successor and continuator of academician Georgi Nadjakov research in Sofia University and in Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He preserved and united all fields in physics, developed in Bulgaria.

       Academician Milko Borissov worked in auspicious economical and political stabilisation. Under existing circumstances, he supervised a lots of research studies simultaneously.

       Investigations of academician Milko Borissov were spacious. He obtained science results unusual as a number and contents. Under his direct leadership were attained new theoretical, experimental and applied results on half of hundred topics in physics of solid state mainly.

       Academician Milko Borissov scientific papers were collective mostly. About a hundred researchers took part in them. He wrote his popular papers alone in the main.
