This year the 25 years since the death of the famous Bulgarian scientist – physicist G.S.Nadshakov have passed. This is a good chance of mentioning his ingenious contributions in the theory and practice of the physics’ investigations and to engrave him into our memory.

Short biographical data are presented on the poster. His school and university life, his work in the Physics and in the Physics-Mathematics faculty of Sofia University as a reader and professor, his teaching as a professor and director of the Physics faculty, his work as a dean of PMF, and his participation in the in the establishment of the National Polytechnics and the Physics institute to BAS are also included in the poster.

An attempt for short characterization of the major achievements of G.S.Nadshakov in the field of the theoretic and experimental physics is made

His contributions in the investigation if the internal photoelectric effect, the photoconductivity, the photostatic electrometrics, the photoelectric effect in resistors and wide ranged semiconductors, the study and discovery of the photoelectric state in the study of the contact-potential photovoltaic effect in high resistant photoconductors.

A special attention is paid on the pedagogic work of G.S.Nadshakov and the influence of his human qualities on his pedagogic work.

A conclusion is reached that our ingenious physicist is an example of a man, who wrote in such a way that it is worth reading his works and at he same time his contribution to science is so great that it is worth writing about him.
