Boris Rogev
(21.09.1898 – 21.11.1976)


Born

He was born in Vojvodino (Pashait) vilage, Varna district

Education

He studed military school (1919) and became naval officer (1922)

Boris Roger studed astronomy and navigation in Paris (1927-1931)

Research

His practical work in geodesy and mathematicl cartogrphy is appreciated highly

He investigated old Bulgrin calendar

Experience

Rogev worked in the marine (1920-1923)

He created and headed Hidrographycal Department of the State Military Geographycal Institute in Sofia (1932)

He worked in the Neavy School (1934)

He headed Military Institute of Geography (1946-1954)

He was a researcher in the Central Laboratory of Geodesy (1954-1976)

Teaching activity

Boris Rogev lectured Marine meteorological cours in 1938 in the Military School in Sofia

He headed department of Mathematics at the G. S. Rakovski Military Academy (1954)
