Rashco Gavriloff Zaycoff
(10.12.1901–25.11.1982)


Born in Burgas. He wrote his name "Raschco" in the beginning and "Rashco" later on

Education:

Rashco Zaycoff was student in the Universities of Sofia (1921–1922), Gottingen (1922–1923) and Berlin (1923–1925). He had schoolship from the Humboldt Foundation (1926–1928) and graduated Sofia University (1928)

Research

Theory of relativity, Unified theory of quantum mechanics, gravity and electrodynamics, Particles theory, Cosmology, and Mathematical statistics are the fields of his scientific research

Professional Experience

He worked in the Sofia University's Institute of Statistics (1933–1940) and in the State Insurance Institute (1946–1953)

Rashco Zaycoff worked in the Astrophysical Observatory (1927) and Siemens Factories (1933–1935; 1942–1944) in Germany

He was Assistant Professor at the Sofia University (1928–1930; 1945–1946)

Bulgarian Academy of Sciences elected him associate professor (1953–1961) and professor (1961–1972) at the Institute of Physics

Teaching activities

He had been a teacher in Sofia (1930–1933), Pavlikeny (1940–1942) and Botevgrad (1944–1945)
