Nikolay Vuchkov was born in Sofia

Education

He studied physics at the Sofia University (1975)

He had PhD degree in physics from Lebedev Physical Institute, Moscow, Russia (1984)

He became Doctor of science from the ISSP, BAS (2003)

Research

He investigated metal vapor lasers, gas discharges, excitation techniques for pulsed gas lasers

Professional experience

Nikolay Vuchkov was Assistant Professor (1981–1991), Associate Professor (1991–2005), and Professor (2005–2015).
