Born

Professor Stoycho Panchev was born in Lisec the vilage in Lovech district.

Education

He studied physics and meteorology in the Sofia University. After that, he was Ph.D. student at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences

S. Panchev specialised meteorology in Russia, USA and Japan

Research

He investigated theory of chaos and turbulent dynamics

Professional Experience

He was assistant, associate professor and full professor of the Sofia University (1970-1994)
