He worked on combination and axiomatic theory of physics and proposed axioms to classical mechanics, theory of relatyvity and quantum theory.

Professional experience

He started university career as assistant (05.01.1942). Later on he became associate professor (1947) and full professor (1951) on the chair of theoretical physics and took the chair on nuclear physics (1958–1967)

He was vice dean (1948–1956) and dean (1958–1960) of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics

Ch. J. Christov was vice rector (1960–1962) and rector (1972–1973) of the University in Sofia

Bulgarian Academy of Sciences elected him as a member (1952) and a full member (1961), director of the Institute of Physics (1972) and a head of the Laboratory for cosmic rays on the Musala Mauntain (1962–1968)

He created Institute for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy and was director (1973–1988) and head of a Laboratory (1973–1988)

He worked as a Vice President of Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna (1968–1970)

He was President of the Society of Physicists in Bulgaria (1971–1986)
