Doncho Zahariev Staynov
(1935 – 26.01.2010)

Born in Koprivshtitsa

Education

He studied physics at the Sofia University (1953–1957)

Doncho Staynov was Ph.D. student at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences Institute of molecular Biology (1960)

He specialised in Russia and in London Kings Coledge

Scientific Research

He investigated separation different tipes of ribonucleic acid (RNA) using molecular weight by electrophoresis in non-aqueous solutions

He patented, designed and built a two-beam spectrodensitometer

Professional Experiance

In Bulgaria, he did electronics at geological investigations (3 years)

He is among founders of the London Chromatin Club
