Biography
NATALIA BORISSOVA JANEVA
(21.09.1937 – 17.12.2013)





Born     Natalia Janeva was born in Sofia

Education

She studied physics at the Sofia University (1956–1960)

    She defended PhD in Dubna (1974) and DSc in INRNE-BAS on the subject "Neutron data fissile nuclei" (1985)

Research

She investigated on physics fission of heavy nuclei, nuclear data for reactors, and automation of the experiment

Her scientific results are on the creation of new codes for analysis and processing of experimental data parameterization of neutron cross sections in the resonance region

Professional Experience:

Natalia Janeva worked in the Nuclear Physics Laboratory at the Institute of Physics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences from 1960

She specialised in the Nuclear Physics Laboratory at the JINR in Dubna (1966–1971)

She created and headed research group on fast neutrons from 1977

A long time, she worked in Moskow and Obninsk. She had a short work trip to the Nuclear laboratory in Bologna, Italy (1964), and for 9 months she was in the IRMM Gell, Belgium (2002)

Teaching activities:

She lectured the course of Neutron Physics at the Sofia University (1983–1989) and tutored 10 magister degree theses and 12 dissertations

Awards

She was member of the Scientific Council of the INRNE-BAS and membered the ÌÀÀÅ International committee for nuclear date of in Vienna. She was an editor of the Bulgarian Nuclear Society magasine.

Natalia Janeva was awarded the "Kiril and Methodi" ² degree medal in 1980 ãîäèíà and "Kliment Ohridski" medal in 1987

Publications

She has 190 scientific papers.
