Christo Tenchov was member of Technical Physics Department at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences Institute of Physics tutored by Emil Djakov
Later on, Tenchov was head of the Emission Electronics Laboratory at the BAS Institute of Electronics
He was a member of the Institute scientific counsel, and chairman of its general assembly.
In the last years, he was scientific secretary of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences Physics Unitary Centre
