Biography
DOCHO GENCHOV FAKIROV
(16.11.1932 – 01.03.1984)

Born

Docho Fakirov was born in the village Petko Slaveykovo, near to the town of Sevlievo.

Education

He studed physics in the Sofia University and in the Moscow state University.

Research

Research of G. Fakirov are in the area of theoretical nuclear physics on weak interactions of elementary particles and particular in physics of neutrinos.

He developed the technique for calculating gluon corrections to the weak semi-lepton and non-lepton decays of elementary particles.

Professional experience

D. Fakirov worked consecutively as an assistant in the Experimental Physics Department, Physics and Mathematics Faculty of the Sofia University; Institute of Physics and Institute for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

Teaching activities

He read lectures on weak interactions of elementary particles in the Faculty of Physics at the Sofia University for 15 years.
